Well, it looks like it’s going to rain here in Washington (DC), which means it’s the perfect time to sit inside and write the inaugural post on digital metropolis. Happy Independence Day! Above is a shot from the Playstation 2 game FantaVision, which was a fireworks/music puzzler. Hard to imagine the excitement for puzzle games like FantaVision after playing Rock Band with three of your friends, but it certainly was unique back in 2000 (!).

And, it’s a safe way to play with fireworks indoors, which is something we’ll need today once the sky opens up and drenches everyone on the Mall. Don’t do anything stupid, kids.
